Privacy Policy
The short version. Ask Big Sarge is a reference app. We collect as little as we can: an account so your saved items and subscription follow you between devices, and the records needed to manage purchases. We do not sell your data, we do not show ads, and the app contains no advertising tracking. You can delete your account and everything in it from inside the app.
1. Who we are
Ask Big Sarge is operated by Aaron Parry, trading as Ask Big Sarge (“we”, “us”), based in England. Ask Big Sarge is made by ARX Algorithms. We are the data controller for the personal data described here. Contact: privacy@askbigsarge.co.uk.
2. What the app does
Ask Big Sarge is a reference app covering offences, powers and related legislation for England and Wales. It is an independent tool and is not affiliated with any police force, the College of Policing or the Home Office. We do not ask for, and you should not enter, any information about real incidents, suspects, victims or police systems.

5. This website
This website does not use cookies or analytics. Our host keeps standard server logs (such as IP address and time of request) for security for a short period.
6. How long we keep data
Account data is kept until you delete your account. Deleting your account removes your profile, saved items and preferences from our database. Backups roll off within 30 days. 7. Children
Ask Big Sarge is intended for adults (18 and over) and is not directed at children.
8. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask to access, correct, delete or restrict your data, object to processing, and receive a copy in a portable format. You can delete your account in the app, or see how to delete your account. For anything else email privacy@askbigsarge.co.uk; we reply within one month. You can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
9. Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Each account can only read and write its own data, enforced in the database.
10. Changes
If we change this policy we will update the version and date above and, for significant changes, tell you in the app before they take effect.
